I have a 1997 ford ranger that was leaking coolant and I replaced the radiator and no more coolant leak. I took off and re-instaleld tranmission cooler lines very carefully I thought, but for some reason now I have a tranmission leak?

Ouch. Looks like you might be in for another radiator replacement and maybe the fitting on the cooler line(s).
