OK, I finally got the T-5 installed and I am finishing up all the wiring and details. I found a grommet in the firewall where the speedo cable ran through by the master cylinder. Now, I'm not real sure but I was hoping this is where the clutch cable is supposed to go so I ran it through this way. However, if this is right, where do I run the speedo cable since it no longer has a home? Do I need to make another hole in the firewall? Any good advice would be appreciated. Bad advice will also be considered. Thanks

Courtesy of Jeremy Thompson and his clutch article, comes this picture.

You can see the relative relationship of the cables.

Good luck.

The picture gives you a good reference point. You should see a plug in the firewall in the engine bay that you can pop out and see the hole from inside the car. You will probably have to slide under the dash with your feet sticking up in the air to find the hole under the dash. Take a flashlight and poke around way high on the firewall on the inside. I did the same thing. The chassis's have all the same holes to cut costs. Ford just plugged holes that weren't used. Good luck.
