clutch wont engage

i dropped a new motor in my mustang the clutch wont engage and i know the clutch is good

need more data. What does "clutch won't engage" mean? The car won't move at all? If so, what's happening at the clutch fork where the cable connects? Is the cable moving normally when you press the pedal? Etc...
