    Question...

Why is Oklahoma ranked over Alabama in the polls? Oklahoma has scored high in 4 games (50 points) but they have not even played a ranked team. Alabama has played a #9 and #3 team and beaten them both. Alabama is 5-0. Are the sports writers illiterate or what?

    Ha Ha Ha...You're serious right?

Clemson was the most overrated team coming into 2008. Alabama got a solid win this weekend as well, against another overrated team in Georgia. Theres a reason Georgia kept falling in the poles even after winning. You can expect them to lose 3-4 games this year.

Oklahoma has stomped a mudhole in everybody they've played. Literally putting there boot on peoples throat. Well, that and their starters are on the bench mid 3rd quarter. They've got wins against two Top 25 calibur teams. Cincinnati and TCU. TCU brought a #24 ranking into the game, and the #1 defense into Norman, Ok and got throttled. TCU will finish the season 10-1 with a Top 15 ranking.

We'll see coming up. Oklahoma plays 3 Top 5 teams in the next 8 weeks. So, we'll know soon enough. Polls dont matter right now. they will Chnage A BUNCH over the next couple months. everyone will probably lose atleast 1...if not 2 games. So sit back, and dont worry about the rankings.

Dude... Alabama is playing with TRUE FRESHMEN. Yea I'm serious. Georgia came back for 30 points in the second half- Over rated?

    Nope.

It seems the AP has chosen as my friend put it, "Their sweetheart team." Evidently math and logic have no bearing on these polls. Speaks for itself there is no need to argue. Just look:

    5-0 vs 4-0
    Ranked teams vs. unranked teams

Who are these teams Oklahoma has played? I don't see them in the ranks? I see georgia in the ranks.

Be careful. True Freshman are known to have a bad game here and there. I know as an Ohio State fan, I am thrilled that our true Freshman QB (Tyrelle Pryor) looks awesome and is now the man, but you can guarantee that he will have a bad game or 2 in the next 7 weeks. The question is whether or not the rest of the team will be good enough on his off day to still get the win.

As to the polls, yes, they are goofy. Always have been. You're just too young to have paid attention to them. You were about 8 or so the last time the Tide was good enough for them to matter to you. The one difference now is that the game has evolved to the point where Top 25 teams will get upset on a consistent basis unlike how it was 15 years ago or more. There's more talent than ever and it's no longer going to your traditional teams like in years past.

Oh the days when the Tide was the team to beat. I think I was 13 though

I think the worst of our schedule is behind us. Well there is that LSU game tho...

Come on you are acting like OU has played cup cakes, their schedule has been about the same as Bama. Bama has played the best team of them all in UGA, but Cincinatti and TCU are about the same level as Clemson.

But the real reason is OU was ranked 2 before this week and Bama was ranked 8. Bama isnt going to jump 7 people including OU who has blown out everyone and looked awesome all year.

It's ok Strype, if it's OU #1 and Alabama #2 when it all ends, Alabama will beat them because OU can't seem to win a BCS game anymore (Boise State in '06 and got killed by aWVU team led by an interim coach in '07)

I think the worst ranking was putting USC ahead of Georgia. That pissed me off. USC should be down around 12 or 13. They lost to an unranked team that got blown out by Penn State earlier this year. It's not like they were playing LSU and lost by 6.

But when the dust settles... SEC > all.

I told my dad before this season that the winner of the SEC West will come out of Alabama and the East will be the winner of the Florida/Georgia game. And i'm sticking with it. No offense to LSU, they're a great team still but I think Alabama has the slightest of edges in that matchup just because of the QB play. LSU will still play in a BCS game tho. :nice:

Bama will have their day, strype. :nice:

Texas has to play Mizzou, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Kansas still. They'll lose at least 1 of those!

Bama didn't play...y'all did the same thing to us during our off week. The polls are a joke anyway. Georgia loses to Bama who was a top 20 team and UGA drops to 11. USC loses to an unranked team and drops to 9th.
