Actually a guy from Florida named Phil owns a buisness , MPSS. I think his site is, www.rmautomotivespecialists.com From what I understand they have built the first Eleanor 'vert. And it did sell for Fastback $$.
I spoke with the owner/buyer and that car turned out to be a rustbucket with an Eleanor kit on it. On top of that it was unsafe and compeletly unroadworthy. He was screwed royal on that one.

i gotta admit that is a pretty car. i hate the fastback elenwhores but the vert is very nice, i think i'd actually own and drive one of those.

It was real nice looking from 10 feet, but the fiberglass kit was wavier than the damn atlantic during a hurricane. They also did a GT350E vert.

really, that bad? it's amazing then that the car brought $500,000 if it was that wavy. i'm not really very impressed with their work anyway, i just thought the vert was a pretty car. i'd still ditch the "power bulge" hood though those things are ugly as one legged hooker that got beat with an ugly stick since birth!!!!!
