Jus like the title says, vert motor has to be helped in order for the top to come down, but has no problem lifting the top up and on. few questions

Is it the motor? Most likely so how much is a new one, or should i pull from the junkyard?

And one other question how much would it cost to have my windshield replaced?

I bought a new one just last month from CJponyparts.com for $220.00.

I know that is a lot to pay, but I rebuilt mine, and it still wouldn't work...

I have yet to install it becuase I can't figure out how to bleed the system...

I accidentally put the top down with the motor out, and all the fluid was pushed out of the line. Now I can't get it to fill back up, so I have just left the top up for 2 months... What a bummer. :nonono:

Try www.50resto.com for the motor.

On the windshield, it depends on your state's law and insurance. But in most cases, insurance companies actually encourage you to get it fixed (if cracked or heavily chipped). I guess their theory is that it's a lot safer to drive around with a good windshield than a cracked one, and they will pay out less in claims (for wrecks and injuries). So in Michigan, it's usually a $100 deductible, which you can almost always get waved and pay nothing.
