convertible vs. hatch/notch dash

hey guys -
the dash on my convertible has seen some abuse and i'd like to swap it out with one in better condition. are the units from hatch backs or notches shared by the convertibles, or should i narrow my search to find a specific 1989 convertible dash replacement.
to clear up, I am looking for the whole unit and i would intend on keeping my current instrument cluster and convertible specific switch bezels. can I jump into any 87-89 dash and expect a direct swap with no customizations or fabrications?

From what I remember, they're all the same. The '89 was the last year of the tilt steering though, so keep that in mind if you're replacing the "entire" dash.
