coolant leak around head bolts?

every once in awhile i notice some coolant around the bottom row of head bolts on top by the washer. just wondering if anyone has seen this before? i'm thinking they werent torked down enough? i just got the car awhile back and it has trick flow heads on it with arp bolts suppose to be less than a year old. if i remember correctly are'nt you suppose to put some rtv on the threads that enter thecoolant passages? anybody?

Yes the lower bolts go into the water passeges so you should put some kind of sealent on the threads. You could try retourqing the bolts.

Teflon pipe dope is what I recommend on the lower bolt threads. It seals and provides some degree of lubricant for the threads.
