Some peoples say I need replace it if I know no history about it. my temp guard is never reach middle , and it reach about almost in middle. this is right ? car ran fine. Should I need replace ? and where its locate on 1995 mustang gt 5.0 ? thanks

btw no check engine light on dash.

The temp sender for the gauge is not monitored by the computer. The stock gauge is not that accurate. An aftermarket guage is a nice option.

The sender is located on the front of the driver's side lower intake manifold. It has one wire going to it.
 
there might not be a lot of point to doing that. the gauge has no graduations so you still will not know how hot the engine is.
 
You can also interpolate the ECT reading, or put the sender money towards an aftermarket gauge so you can really tell what's going on.
