hey guys. not sure if this is the rite forum to post this in, but i have an 02 gt with an allen supercharger. the supercharger is driven off of the stock accesory belt. . my problem is that i have a 2.5 pully on the blower and i dont want to go any lower in size because im starting to get belt slip. i am trying to get an x pipe on the car and accordign to some i will lose a few lbs of boost. so i was wondering if anyone knows of an overdrive pulley for a 2v 4.6 to make up for the boost i lose with the catless x pipe.
Boost is a measure of resistance on the intake side. Changing to an O/R pipe shouldn't affect boost. However, there may be a power increase with the better exhaust flow.
If it's an M90 supercharger I would say it's pretty well maxed out with that 2.5 pulley. A 10% over driven crank pulley would really raise your inlet temps, and I think power would really fall off when it get's heat soaked. I wouldn't worry about a loss of boost with a better exhaust as stated above. If anything it would help you.
