I have spark and for a while I was getting an injector pulse. I timed the car at TDC just to get it running. I have an LA2 computer with the brown top injecters and I was getting an injector pulse but after a couple of minutes cranking and no start the pulse went to a very dim pulse. The fuel pump is coming on. I pulled # 1 and 2 spark plugs and the plugs seemed to have alittle fuel on them. The car is not even attempting to fire.

    WHat should I do ???

    Is it a rebuilt engine?
Do this engine was working before removing it from the other car?

Do the ignition is timed correclty?

Did you make a compression test?

Is the Injector ground hooked up? Sounds like there is a ground issue. Also fog a little Ether in the throtlle body and see if it will pop off.

Its is a rebuilt engine, it ran before I did the rebuild. The pistons and ect. were balanced, it was line bored and installed with perfect circle rings. I put a high volume oil pump in. The head was rebuilt with a mustang roller rocker cam and with dual valve springs and it got a value job. It was built at a local performance shop. so I dont think anything is wrong with the motor, when I turn the motor over by hand you can tell it has good compression.

I have the ground for the injectors pined out to the ignition ground at the computer.

I sprayed starting fluid in the throttle body while cranking and it made a very slight hint to start and once I stopped cranking the fuild popped backwards out of the throttle body.

I have the timing set at TDC. Is the crank shaft pulley the same for a 93 mustang and a 88 turbocoupe because I put the 93 pulley on and maybe the mark on the pulley is at a different location or the pulley may be a different size

    Pulley marks are the same.

The hi volume oil pump will probably cause your distributor gear to shoot craps.

Go over all the wiring changes you made...something is probably screwy.

"The hi volume oil pump will probably cause your distributor gear to shoot craps."

Is there a better distributor gear I can buy and put on? ^

For the ground on the TFI modular that goes to the ignition ground on the computer and is there another ground wire that runs off of that wire that is usually ground on the intake like on the 88 injector wiring harness?
What I am asking, does the TFI ground also need to be grounded to the motor.

You have the injector/o2 harness ground at the back of the intake.
Now is the ground wire from the bellhousing to the firewall hooked up?

Nope, what color wire do I have to ground for the injector harness is it the orange/red wire that also goes to the ground on the distributor plug. What wire do I ground for the o2 harness. Do I just splice into the wire at pin 49 and run a wire to the ground by the kickpanel in the car.

The ground wire from the lower intake is connected to the firewall and the connection points were cleaned.

Hopefully this will get my injector pulse bright again and hopefully it will start. Its been about 6 months since the swap!!!

    Thanks for your help!

That sounds right, I do not have any of my notes or info here at work, I will take a peek at the car and post up this weekend when I am home!
