I just received my dart blocked 427 yesterday, and am starting to install the parts on it. I have a couple questions as this is the first shortblock i have ever bought. The first is, on the sides of the block there are threaded holes on some of the cylinders, they are rather small, maybe an 1/8" in dia., and there is nothing in them, does anyone know what they are for and what do i need to plug them up? Also, for the oil filter, there is no adapter on there, and i forgot to get the old one off the previous motor, does anyone know of an aftermarket company that makes one, or if you can get it through ford? If you guys have any part #'s or know of a place where i can get these online i would appreciate it greatly. Thanks!
