I'm looking to get a kit from http://www.dccontrol.com/

What exactly is the difference between the 3018-M and the 3018-E

I have a 93 2.3<5.0 converted with an 88 5.0 HO

200 amp alternator and will be getting underdrive pullies.

Is there anything ewlse I need to get from them to complete the fan, DCC setup?

Thats the all in one setup right?

As said, the M has a potentiometer. If you have the extra cash, I would recommend getting the M. The potentiometer is like a dining room rheostat where you can dim the lighting. I went this route and like being able to easily (from inside the car) fine-tune the system (I turn the target-temp setting up during the winter, down during the summer, etc).

Of course, we'd recommend contacting Brian for his official say-so (though I don't think it's the case here, sometimes there are differences in products which not known to us).

Good luck and enjoy!

Iv'e got the 3018 and i couldnt be more thrilled with it. My cooling problems are in the past. I like the temperature set knob, it makes it easy as hissin said to adjust the temperature on setting. Im my opinion you can't go wrong with a DCC unit.

Good luck

This is what Brain Baskin sent me a while back when I inquired about it:

"There's two main differences, the -M has the internal controller, but also has a potentiometer to adjust the temperature. It looks cleaner and is a bit easier to set up, but the performance is identical."

I'd go with the M as the others alluded too:)

I hope one day I can get one...
