differences between single and dual plane intake manifold (carb'd not efi)

i am stuck on the performer rpm and the torker 2 from edelbrock. is the dual plane performer rpm intake better for low end power cause it says 1500 - 6500 power range and the single plane says 2500 - 6500 so yea? i mostly going to end up getting the performer rpm.

"zackly!! I'm for the Stealth!! With a good gasket match and cam... I shift mine at 7500 and it is one pulling MoFo!! Street it is awesome!! 0-to what ever and I think it is also the least expensive!!
