S'cuse my ignorance, but whenever I surf these various forums on motor oil, they talk about "dino oil," but don't define the term. Is this just regular "parafin based" motor oil or is it a another name for synthetic blend?

I believe that "Dino oil" refers to good old fashioned dead dinosaurs, as opposed to synthetic.

It is just what people call regular parafin based oil, not a synthetic or blend. Dino is short for dinasour.
