Hey guys. I was at a Mustang meet about two weeks ago, and a few guys were complementing my exhaust, saying it sounds nice and such. I was pretty much under the impression that my car still had a factory system on it, as I haven't done anything yet and I bought it a few months back pretty much stock with some billet. I looked under the car today while doing an oil change, and there is a Ford logo along with some part numbers (couldn't get close enough to make them out) stamped on each of my mufflers. There are no clamps on the pipes, the tail pipes look stock, and the joints at the mufflers look like they are press-fit or something along those lines. Anyway, do the stock Ford systems have anything stamped on them, or could I possibly have a FRPP catback and not know it? I will admit I had my girl throw a few revvs while I was standing back behind the car, and it sounds pretty damn sweet... Thanks dudes...
My stocker cat back had part #'s and a ford logo on each muffler. They are Walker (Dynomax) re-brands I guess, correct me if I'm wrong.
Stock exhaust on the 99-04's sounds pretty good. It has pretty nice tone. The only reason i swapped mine for a cat-back was because i wanted it a little bit louder. But i would have had no problem leaving the factory exhaust alone. I knew mine was stock, but i can see how you would think it was aftermarket
No "Ford Racing" logo, just Ford. Must be stockers. I love the way they sound, but they'll be getting tossed for a CDC side exhaust system at some point. I just figured it would be good to know. I'm guessing they are stockers then. Kudos to Ford on that system though, a very nice tone...
