Do I really need to do this the way Ford says?

I'm changing the rear springs on my '01 Cobra with IRS.

Ford says to drop the entire IRS subframe, pivoting it on the front subframe bolts. This sounds like a PITA.

I've heard you can use spring compressors and be able to get them out just by undoing the shock and dropping the Lower Control Arm.

How did you guys do yours?

That is a lot of reading. I would much rather dive into this job before reading all that. :rlaugh:
