Ok i just got done doing the heater core and i painted my dash black and i hung it tonight for a look see and fell back in love with the car.....this ever happen to you
I just thought it'd be agood thing to talk about, what makes us love our cars, i don't have a camera so i have to borrow one, i only have to put the dash back in and put in my window regulators to finish the power window swap and i'll get pics and post them..
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY engine bay in pcs, car on stands with a dog eating his bone underneath, garage in shambles....love may be a strong word today.
Oh man, I was so down on my car this summer. It was all multi colored, once I got it in prime and i got my new headlights in it, i fell in love with her again. Now I have to get mad at her again so I can fix her floor pan, its gettin a little flexible. time for a welder an some subframe connectors
everytime i start it up...i have made my car my weekend driver....soooo alll week i count down the dayz......so friday nightwhen i open that garage door and start the car....i am told the expression on my face is priceless
I fell back in love with my car when I did the Cobra brake swap/5 lug. I started to assemble the new engine and even washed the car regularly. My car looks great when it'sclean. I even bought a MM pan hard bar but still haven't put that on. ......then I built a two tap kegerator and now my engine is on the back burner while I drink ice cold draught beer in my garage. Funny how the simplest things can derail a project.
I love that feeling, whrn you love what you have done to your car......Its like seeing a friend who you havent seen in a long time.
Unfortunatly I feel back in love with mine 2 weeks before I have to put her up for the winter. pwned by seasonal change! I hate you NH!
EVERYTIME..... - I'm driving down the road on a night sunny day, with the windows down. - I'm sitting at a red light and an ricer pulls up next to me. - After I leave that same ricer 5-6 car lengths behind me, then slowing down to cut him/her off. +1 - The sound of the Stang driving thru a parking garage. - Car alarms in parking lots going off after I drive by. - A repair is done. - I go from first to fifth as quickly as I can. - Seeing the expression on someone face, when they wonder why my glove box is so small. I could go on and on.
I'm feeling the same thing with my Mustang. It's been and still is in the body shop waiting on a few more things to be painted before I bring it home. I love how it's turning out, the only problem is that getting my car out the door isn't as big of a priority as it might be for another customer, mainly becuase I'm a perfectionist and want things a certain way, secondly because I'm good friends with eveyone there and thirdly they just hired me on full time.
Right now my car is on loan to my best friend and he's had it for 2 weeks...i'm just about sick to my stomach because i miss it so much
