Electrical Dome Light?

I was putting too many miles on my vintage cars so I bought a nice 2005 v6 premium with most options but there is no dome light, there are map lights. Did these cars not have dome lights? I Installed foot well lights but it would be nice to have an overhead light. Is it an option?

I bought two three inch long led strips that have six surface mount LEDs under a clear silicone cover with 3M double sided tape. I put them about six inches from the end of the door and fit them between the headliner and the plastic trim, hid the wire between the trim and headliner and tied them into the map lights and they work great. They came from Autozone for less than ten dollars for the pair. I did not have to peel the backing off the tape, they sit fine between the headliner and trim. Plus they dim with the map lights, I think it is called theatre lighting.
