    Hey guys, the Atlanta Chapter of the SVTOA is hosting a Drag day in Conjuction with Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, Georgia on the 24th of July. All are welcome to run or be a spectator. We have yet to make plans of a destination to leave from the North side of town, and narrowing down the south of town meeting spot!

    That is correct 15.6 is the best I have put down to date. We hope to move into low 15's this time around!

    It goes back to when I had my Fox, I'm cursed to never run a 13 I think. In theory I should just by the numbers. Last time out I ran a best of 14.x. Since then I've dropped 80lbs for the IRS, put on the fiberglass hood, switched to coil overs. So that is close to a tenth there alone....in theory.

    I think if I could drive worth a ***** I could come close to 12s.

    Come join us at one of the Southeast's greatest tracks for the annual Atlanta SVTOA Drag Day.

    When: Saturday, July 24th - 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm
    Where: Silverdollar Raceway - Reynolds, GA
    Cost:
    $25.00 for Car & Driver
    $10.00 for Spectators
    Kids 12 & under - Free

    Silverdollar Raceway is a NHRA track that offers all the amenities of a world class 1/4 mile track right in our own backyard. Bring your friends, bring your family, just don't bring a Chevy!

    If you're a drag racing pro or a quarter mile virgin you'll have a great time at this event. Come support the club and enjoy a day at the track with friends. Past experience has shows that we get all the track time we can handle!

    Trophies will be awarded for the fastest in 4 categories:

    Fastest Naturally Aspirated
    Fastest with Power Adder
    Fastest Truck
    Fastest 4/6 Cylinder


    Northside guys meet at team ford at 1:00pm, leaving at 1:15, and meeting the southside guys at hooters (exit 221 off I 75) between 1:45-2:00 and we leave at 2:15. Or, you can meet us at the track!

    Directions:
    From Atlanta take 75 South to exit 149 (Byron, GA). Follow hwy 49 to hwy 96. Take hwy 96 west to the track in Reynolds, GA

    Im bustin tail to get the top of my motor back on to make this event in time. If all goes well, I will have the motor rebuilt Thursday, dyno'd Friday, and meeting up at Team Ford (Marietta?) Saturday. Of course, this means I won't have my new clutch in, or my lower intake ported yet :shrug: but I cant pass up the meet. BTW to join SVTOA do you need to own an SVT vehicle? Im interested.

    Not at all. Only 2 criteria, own a ford and love to have fun! Good luck on the install. If you dont get it finished, don't sweat it. I know we will plan another trip to silver dollar when it cools down a bit. We do want you to make it. Just make sure you don't rush putting the engine together just to make it. Better safe than sorry.

    Oh if you can make it, just look for JC ( I have blond hair, I will be sporting my infamous black socks with sandals, and driving a 03 refire vert). I am the recruiting guy for the club.
