Trying to get the coupe set up to do some drag racing this summer and I think I am pretty well set on the Rancho RS99204 adjustable for the rear.

For the front I was thinking of a set of 6 cyl springs and I was wondering what the best shock choice would be, some sort of 90/10 I would assume.

Also for the front I was considering doing the air ride technologies shockwave v 3.0

I was consdiering this more from a ride standpoint but I'm not sure how well these would transfer weight at the track, they are double adjustable???? What do you guys think?

Are the Rancho rears single or double adjustable? I don't know anything about them

I can ask my chassis guy what would be the best setup for your car, which is pretty similar to Kevin's '68. He'll be running a 347 this year as well. I'll ask him what he has in his car as it works pretty well.

You have Cal-Tracs now, don't you?

I don't have cal tracs. just 5 leaf reverse eye, rear sway bar and cheap shocks. up front I have 620's cut down, cheap shocks and sway bar removed.

It transfered weight pretty good before I cut down the 620's and put more stall in it.... I watched some video's of the only three passes I made this year on the new set up before I got my cage and the front didn't come up hardly at all. As compared to before in these pictures......

Anyone ever heard of a Monroe 58539 rear shock for Drag Racing? Supposedly it has a coil spring around the shock and a guy here in St. Louis uses them on his 66 with snubber traction bars and runs 10.70's with a nitrous 331 stroker. 1.5 short times with small slicks like mine...

Is your part # right for your car? IIRC you have a 65' and that part # for the rear shocks is RS-99204.

I found a mention of these at Summit, but it also says they are not available.

Might want to call Summit to verify this.

HOLD THE PHONE! I think I just found them at Jegs (Jegs Part # 801-RS99204) The details are screwy though: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_279520_-1

Otherwise, call Calvert Racing to see if they still have them in stock. They are great people to deal with. Contact info here: http://www.calvertracing.com/

yep. thats the same issue I was having. Summit doesnt have them "in stock" on the website it seems (it jus says N/A where it used to say instock/when in stock), and jegs looks screwy, just liky you said. I guess calvert is the next option.
