edelbrock questions

For chirstmans i got an Edelbrock performer intake for my 84 GT. I am running a stock 4 barrel intake now, is the stock one restrictive, or is it pretty good? What gains will i feel with my current mods after putting the edelberock on also is the edelbrock a good intake it is a performer 289. then my other mods are in the signature All input is appreciated

Carbs fine you should notice it pulls a little easier up top...giving up a little low end grunt....

it is supposed to make power from idle to 5500 so i thought that would boost my low end along with the high end? or am i wrong ? also is the stock 4 barrel intake pretty restrictive?
