I would say yes...but they have a bad effect (especially on stock alternators) about charging enough to get the full potential out of the electric fan...

Because they can run at full speed at idle, unlike the stock fan which spins as fast as the engine (or as fast as the fan clutch lets it) it will cool better at idle, yes.

Ramchargers fan on a griffin radiator. I am going to cut the tabs off the fan on one side and mount the stainless steel overflow to the tabs on the other side.

dave, I am using the Black Magic elec fan and it cools very nicely. as for overflow I found a small overflow at autozone that i squeezed between the radiator and the frame rail.. see pics. when i built my buddies motor he bought the dual ramchargers fan and i would definently go with it... took a lil customizing to mount it but it looks and performs awesome. i think it is priced nicely too..

As stated here are my ramcharger fans. You can kind of see the coolent overflow in the picture. I love these fans.
