Engine Fan never turns off?

Hey guys, Issue here.

The radiator fan turns on 5-10 seconds after I start it, and never shuts off, reguardless of temperature. It runs cooler, if my judgement of the temperature gauge is correct. After It starts, it never turns off, anytime, anywhere, until the car is off. Do you think one of the temp sensors in the intake manifold could be bad? Also, why is there two senders in a 96? Is one for the fan control, while the other is for the instrument panel?

replace the sensor and that should solve the problem.

You are correct about the sensors. The one on the left is for the guage in the car while the one on the right sends the reading to the CPU. That one might be shot.

If you have the A/C on it will stay on also, but if it stays on after you shut off a/c then replace I believe it would be the drivers side sensor.

i forgot to plug up the wire for the driver's side sensor once. My fan stayed on constantly and my A/C wouldn't work. So more than likely, you got a short somewhere in that wire or the sensor has gone south.

hey guys, can I check the sensor? Should I check ohms of resistance, or is it a voltage reading? Thanks!
