Engine Ground getting Hot

my car doesnt like to start when hot... IE: http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=569033

so i replaced the webbed stock engine ground with a 6ga wire, and its getting REALLY hot after driving the car...and its not from under hood heat...its hot to touch...

The 6 gauge wire is too small. The block to battery ground needs to be a 4 gauge or even a 2 gauge wire.

Be sure to clean the place where it bolts to the block with some sandpaper to make a nice clean & shiny spot for the cable lug to bolt down on.

Absolutely. You cant have too much ground, so GFI! You want the ground path to at least be equivilant to the power path, and the battery cable is 4 AWG IIRC.

Use a spare hole in the head for the engine side rather than the aluminum timing cover.

Run two grounds if necessary. #6 wire is way too small

Where's Daggar and his GREAT tech stating a hot wire is a good thing, and that it's only hot because it's moving a lot of current.
