I own a 67 mustang fastback, 302 roller engine, C4 tranny, Elderbrock 4 bbl carb. Car runs great, will idle till it runs out of gas. When I drive it after a few miles it instantly stalls. If I am still rolling fast enough, it will instantly restart when put back into neutral. If I am slowing down, it will instantly restart with the ignition key and run fine. Plently of power, no bogging down, no sputtering. New fuel pump, starter, voltage regulator, fuel filter, and coil. When car has set for several days, it is a little hard starting. Any suggestions?

i would start by checking the float level to make sure it is high enough. if it is too low the engine will starve for fuel under load. second i would make sure i had a needle and seat assembly that had enough flow for the engine, too small and the engine can starve for fuel as well. i would als check for proper float operation. if the float doesnt allow the needle to drop far enough, it will also starve the engine for fuel.
