Engine Swap or Rebuild 289?

Performance Automotive Warehouse apparently still offers unassembled 302 shortblock and longblock kits with a new standard-bore block and forged pistons, or at least did as of '09(the electronic catalog is from '09). I thought they quit offering that option when the supply of new blocks dried up several years ago. They must have bought a truckload of them.

That new shortblock is what I have in my '68, but I bought it back in '02 or '03 IIRC. FYI, the rods and crank are rebuild stock parts, not new. My crank actually had an EZ Sleeve over the rear main seal end. I should have sent it back, but it hasn't been a problem, so oh well. I got the shortblock for ~$2000-2200 with the roller cam option, put it together myself, and added some Edelbrock heads. My shortblock is just about identical to the '87 to early '92 5.0 High Output that came in Mustangs as well as some other models that escape me right now(Lincoln MKVII LSC? T-Birds?).
