Ok, after many hours and tweaking, the 351W is in and running and holy crap this things got way too much power. I installed hedman headers with a few modifications to make them fit.

I had a muffler shop install Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and man are they low. They run about 2" off the ground and yes sometimes they scrape. I decided to have them run the exhaust out in front of the rear tires on each side and it looks and sounds really good but the mufflers are too low.

I am considering raising the car with longer shackles in the rear and better spings in the front?

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

At this point, raising the car is probably the cheapest thing to do...but its not my personal choice.

Assuming that the muffler shop did a good job of installation, you are probably limited to using thinner mufflers under the car, using "tube-type" mufflers along the transmission tunnel, or using a "2 in-2 out" muffler in the stock location.

Raising the car will be OK for drag racing, but will spoil your handling for anything curvy.

    way2fast78,

I ran my duals in front of the rear tires using a set of mufflers from Dynomax, they have the in/out on the same end and come with mount brackets welded on. I also used Edelbrock stainles steel tips and 2 1/2 " pipes the fit is good with no scrapes. Sorry I can't post picks, but if you look at a Dynomax catalog in the universal muffler section you'll find them. they sold for about 50 bucks a piece and sound better than my old 2-chamber flowmasters.
