I just installed an o/r xpipe on my 97 cobra. It already has flow master 3 chamber mufflers. Idle is good. Acceleration is good. Extreme rasp on deceleration which drives me crazy. Was thinking of adding in a cherrybomb type muffler or resonator into the xpipe. What does everyone think?

The problem is the mufflers. Try magnaflow instead.

Do I need a whole new catback system or just mufflers will fit into place?
From what I've been reading people add in resonators or straight through mufflers to reduce rasp. I just don't want to waste much money trying to get rid of the rasp
