ok i have an explorer intake from a 2000. the upper and lower has egr luckily but when i got ready to install the upper i noticed i didnt have the little metal tree like the stock intake does at the underside of the upper intake. how do i go about hooking this up?

if it has egr, then it's a 96 or early 97 intake, not a 2000...

that's besides the point though.

you don't need the tree, just hook up your vacuum to existing vacuum lines...use vacuum t's if you need to.

one line straight from intake to fuel regulator, one to pcv valve, one to the vacuum tree, one goes to the charcoal canister, and one to the egr/tab/tad solonoids

Vacuum is vacuum: it doesn't matter where you source the vacuum from. All you have to do is match the hose sizes - don't connect a big hose to a little vacuum port and expect it to work well.

The fuel pressure regulator is the only thing that shouldn't share a vacuum line with something else. That's because if the FPR diaphragm leaks, it will spread fuel throughout the vacuum lines and devices attached to it.

Vacuum line connections:
One large vacuum line from the upper front goes to the carbon canister

One large vacuum line from the rear goes to the vacuum tree.

One small line in the front feeds the Smog pump solenoid control valves on the rear of the passenger side wheel well..

One small line in the rear goes to the fuel pressure regulator.

One small line in the rear goes to the EGR suction regulator.

One large line in the rear goes to the PVC valve.
