Explorer Rear End

I've heard that a Ford Explorer has 31 spline axles? Would there be any truth to this?

The rears in the Explorers and Rangers should be the same, which means 28 spline 5 lug. The bigger trucks (F150/Bronco) got 31 spline, but have a different 5-lug pattern (as well as different length probably).
