My wife's sister....nutcase....holy crap. Granted this is one of the sisters that had her son with a brain tumor and they're still dealing with it all. Wasn't cancerous and still causes ALOT of problems for them. So I totally understand trying to find some peace with it all.

But she's a fanatic! Here is what she just posted on FB and I so want to find something to challenge her. My wife tells me to ignore her and not cause trouble....but come on....what is family good for?

Oh, to top it all off....all of her FB friends have responded in support of her :rlaugh:

Does anyone know how to relax and actually recognize entertainment these days?

So....if anyone knows of a Bible passage that encourages relaxing or entertainment story telling or anything against.....let me know and I will post it on FB in response. Should make for some great Thanksgiving talk when I see her next :D

Ok, here it is...brace yourself :rlaugh:

I have NO interest what-so-ever in New Moon movie or Twilight. It is not God-honoring (quite the opposite) and we are to flee every appearance of evil, fellow Christians. I know that makes me a target for some hate-mail. Just back it up with Scripture first...the only basis for truth that we really have. I'll stand on the Word 'cause it's all I got ;)

It pisses my wife off cuz I so want to say something....but I don't.

And I would drop her from my FB....but I do enjoy seeing the recent pics of my niece and nephews. I swear though, her every post is about her selfish life....or he asking for prayers for her and her family or others she knows who have brain tumors too.

And I really do not have a problem with religion....but she's the type that uses religion to guide her entire life. She has a Masters degree in teaching yet chooses not to actually make money and put the whole family in the poor house because God guided her that way.

My wife and I have so wanted to go and steal away the younger kids.....its obvious when we see them that they are neglected. :(

Tell her to STFU and PIITB. :nice:

I hate overly religious people. If I have a customer that is a perfect candidate for a loan but says they are a good Christian (followed by I pay my bills) then I will deny them. Every religious nut will default on their pay day advance, every one. Buncha crooked SOB MFers. They default and you go out to their nasty trailer house with bags of trash on the front porch sitting by the broken computer monitor and when they open the door you hear something greasy frying away and they are all out of breath cause they are 480 lbs but dammit! "The good lord will provide but I cant pay you back what I borrowed and I used all the money to buy donuts and this chocolate Jesus candy bar." :nonono:

Trust me I so want to.....but she is the key to our nephews and niece. Thus I so want to challenge her at her own game but I don't know the Bible well enough to do so.

Someone has to have some ammo for me!?!? :D

    Back to Google.

Well... I also have no interest in those stupid vampire movies for different reasons however. I just think they are stupid tripe and similar to most American movies these days in that sense.

However, I can easily see how a religious person would be offended by them just like Harry Potter et al.

What do you care what her opinion is? Why do you sensitize yourself to her drama via FB? Just ignore her stupidity.

I wish I lived farther away from the IN/OH state line sometimes the stupid gets in its car and drives over here, its very problematic to have that in traffic. When I see the OH plates I usually turn off or go the other way...

I can't speak for her and I won’t go all Christian on you, but things change when you’re “in the word”. You see things differently, the “World” looks completely different.

I went to a Bucs game last year and I felt like I didn’t belong there anymore. I felt like I was in the Roman Coliseum.

I do think there are probably better ways of expressing her position without coming across holier than thou.................

This is always a favorite topic of mine because I always win this one...

    SAB, Short List of Cruelties

    Note #37-46 :rlaugh:

I also remember a phrase that says "Suffer not a which to live." The Bible is VERY cruel and VERY intollerant in some places, yet just the opposite in others. "Cast ye the first stone."

    :stupid:

It's a movie that is there for "entertainment" The people who go and watch those movies (or read the books) understand that it is FICTION! Ok so maybe not all of them but maybe 80%. It's make believe just like Horton Hears a Who is FICTION. Just because you got watch a movie about Vampires and warewolves, doesn't mean you're going to worship the devil does it? It doesn't mean that you believe they exist does it? I mean come on ppl! This is a movie for young adults who's parents have (hopefully) taught them that Vampires, Warewolves, witches and sorcerer don't exist. Are we going to boycott Transformers next because God created us/the universe so the idea of alien robots is anti-god and/or devil worship?

I believe that people (most people) can differentiate between entertainment and real life.

If you haven't already figured it out....they're Baptist. And since I've known them, they've gone from normal to cult members.

I can respect the word of God and all that....but I don't understand living your life like the perfect disciple without even engaging into the world around ya.
