OK, so you have said multiple times now that the mid 80's corvette will not run low 14's...with no proof except "I lived it".

Here is an article of the Corvette VS 1986 Buick Grand National...you know, the car that you said was the only fast stock car in the mid 80's. Guess what...THEY BOTH RAN THE SAME TIMES!!!!

You might know about this at your age but I sure as hell don't...

Oh, and I'm sure the magazine info CAN'T be right because "I" quoted it, not you...

I've got an idea...go ask your 5.0 boys to do your homework for you like you did last time...

Just for comparison's sake, lets throw a few 87-93 5.0 Magazine times in the mix (we wouldn't want to throw 5.0's from the same 85-86 era in there...you might get embarrassed):

'87 GT 5.0 - 15.13/94.1 - 5-spd - 3.27 - Motor Trend

1987 Hatchback Road & Track Perf. Cars, 1988 6.2 14.8 @ 94.3 mph

1992 Hatchback Car Craft, May '92 6.26 14.72 @ 91.95 mph

1987 Hatchback Hot Rod, May '87 6.3 14.6 @ 96.0 mph

1987 Hatchback Automobile, April '87 6.1 14.4 @ 96.0 mph

1987 Hatchback Road & Track, Oct. '86 6.7 15.3 @ 93.0 mph

I can see low 14's out of 235hp/330ft-lbs. Im making 240hp/322ft-lbs (assuming 15%) and ran a 14.35. Im assuming with me in it, the car was around 3400lbs. With some z rated tires, a cool motor, and a 2.0 60' I better be in the low 14's if not the high 13's. Don't know how much the vette weighs but Im assuming its not much more than 3400lbs. Who cares about the vettes anyway?

Yeah, I wish I had a link to that page that compared the 87TC to the corvette, camaro, mustang, etc. of that era...it was amazing how it performed..especially considering it's size.
I think the slalom times for the 84 SVO and Corvette match up exactly from my old Road and Track with the SVO review.

HUH,,I gotta double check that,,14.1,,all due respect,,85 vettes had less then 250hp,,14.1 seems way off.

But a 5.0 with 225 hp can get low 14's...I guess those are way off also...

I guess the slightly lighter weight(curb weight of 3088)/better aerodynamics/more power (230)/torque(330)/ make the vette slower than the 5.0L... :rlaugh:

Unfortunately :nonono:

This guy is just embarrasing over there...he is mad that he put money into his car and his mph still matches that of the "slow" vette...but if the vettes are slow...then his car is slower...if he can admit that then we are on our way...

As I stated in the other thread (currently going on now)...his maturity to age ratio isn't to good :(

Embarrised??? Dude,my car almost has the same E/T as yours, and mines Stock :rlaugh: I dont care about mph.If I could run 11's at only 100mph,,I would love it!!
