Firing orders.....

I was looking in my chiltons manual, and I found it odd how the firing orders are for my 95 Mustang. It is also the same way on Autozone's website:

I thought on the coil, the top three wires were right, but I thought the bottom 3 went 5-6-4, not 4-5-6.

Which way is correct.

4 5 6 should be correct, unless on your motor its just really really weird...

The coil does have an odd placement for cylinders 4, 5, and 6. It seems out of order, but that is the order they should be plugged in. If you plug them in 4,5,6 the car will run poorly

are you sure? I just want to make sure so that I can hook this up correctly. Brothers has it differently on their website:

Also, I checked again, and the chiltons manual has it both ways...... anybody willing to check under their hood and let me know for sure? I'm having a different problem, and I think this may have something to do with it. I hooked the wires up 5-6-4 and the car started at least, and when I hooked them up 4-5-6 the car didn't start at all.

Chilton's is correct- they are defintely not in numerical order.

Actually, chiltons is right, and they are wrong, because they have it both ways in the chiltons manual...

nope, it says that they are both for the 94-98 3.8L
