New to 5.0's here. I just posted some details about the car in my intro page at http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/804656-diy-306-miata-swap.html

While first start is still off a ways, I'm finishing up putting all of the accessories and fuel on the motor. I'm trying to eliminate variables on the first start on my 5.0 swapped Miata.

I have an A9L and stock Mustang harness that was modded by McCully Racing Motors for the Miata swap.

Motor is 306/AFR165/E303/ported Exloprer mani.

My question is, would it be safe to do the first start on the factory 19 lb injectors and factory TB? I just don't want it to be too lean now that it can breathe. Understand I come from turbo cars so maybe this is a dumb question.

I have a 90mm LMAF, new 30 lb injectors and a Quarterhorse to go in but I think with everything going on with a swap it would be safer to start with stock fueling to eliminate variables as long as it would be safe for the motor. No WOT running, just getting the car running.

Thoughts?
