Just installed a steeda cold air intake on my 2012 boss 302, minor fitment issue with the heat shield putting my cervini carbon hood in a bind by not allowing the hood to latch closed. Should I try and trim down the top of the shield or remove the shield altogether?? Also experiencing a small problem with the Rev, once over 2000 it takes a while for the rev to decrease along with the transmission light just came on, all after I just installed the cold air intake. Any help would be appreciated.

I looked at my CAI as well as customer pics of the Steeda CAI on the AM website and I think yours is incorrectly installed and sitting too high. From your pics it seems that the rear wall of the heat shield is sitting slightly above or even with the top of the shock tower. Mine as well as the pics I looked at sit about an 1" below the top of the tower. I bet the 2 rubber grommets on the bottom of the housing are not fully seated in the holes on the body. Hope this helps.
