Fix for squeeky brakes.

Are the squeeky brakes do to Ford using cheap brake pads? Anyone replaced their brake pads? Did this stop the annoying squeeks?

Mine have started squeeking too after 8mths and 5, 000 miles of driving. I'd like to know too if anyone has done anything about this!

Yours waited 8mths before squeeking? Mine started day 1. Quite embarassing in rush hour stop/go traffic!

I`m also having this issue............how do we handle this with the dealer ....as they say it`s pretty much normal with mettalic pads.It is embarrasing for a new car to do this.

I completely disagree with the term "normal". I have owned at least 10 cars and never had one squeek like this. My current truck (Silverado) has never squeeked. Heck, my wife has a Hyundai Santa Fe and it has never squeeked. My mom has a Ford F250 - no squeeks. When I am in the stop and go traffic on the way home - why am I the only one squeeking like this. I normally drive with my windows down and old clunkers don't squeek this bad.
