flowmaster 3 inch

hey guys this is an easy question for probably all you, but im looking to get the new flowmaster full 3 inch exhaust for my '88 gt nothing big is done to the engine, and im just wondering if i will lose too much power, or have to do anything to the engine to install the system??? i just like the great sound on the newer ones...... thanks
