I HAVE A 65 FASTBACK. I WANT TO PUT A 1000 STALL TORQUE CONVERTER ON IT. BUT I WANT TO HAVE THE TORQUE CONV WHEN I TARE THE CAR DOWN. DOES THE STOCK FLYWHEEL TAKE THE 10.5 CONVERTER OR 11" CONVERTER?
the diameter size in torque converter is going to depend on your stall speed. They do, however, have different bolt patterns. You should have a small bolt pattern if you are stock.
no need for the all CAPS man, harsh. Anyway, the stock converter is gonna be the closest to 1000 rpm. All the aftermarket ones arre going to be higher stall, like 1800 rpm and up. Just curious, why do want such a low stall speed?
