This is not my info, its from another board. NEw best... 10.43 @ 136mph, pump gas, 'stock' block... Tossed on a set of 27x11.5 et streets tonight, and got a best of 10.429 at 135.99 mph. Pump gas, Incon system on stockish short 302 (has windage tray, arp rod bolts and total seal rings, edelbrock heads, f-cam). I had lots of problems, but managed a pair of 10.4's, so that makes me happy. 60 foot was only 1.78, not due to wheel spin, but with 3.27 gears, an auto, and no trans brake.... the car is a little unenthusiastic out of the hole... I have a weird boost loss problem that I need to iron out, and next weekend, I want a 140mph pass... Oh yeah.... that's on pump gas, and at 3500+feet 60' ....... 1.781 330' ..... 4.587 1/8 ....... 6.840 mph .. 109.17 1000'.... 8.781 1/4 ...... 10.429 mph ....135.99 __________________ 1988 Incon TT Mustang....11.1 @ 132mph pump gas street tires 3500 feet 460 NA, Pump gas 'Stang, 10.3 @ 133 mph - gone '86 GLH Omni 13.8 @ 104mph, Stock Dodge Junk http://www.tomak.net http://www.dynomotive.ca http://www.fast-times.ca
haha u make me cry......give me ur combo pls....everything and i'll put it down (eventually) and estimated cost?
It's not that they can't make the power it's how long they stay together at that power level..... I made 450+RWHP and 740FTLB TQ and this was on a stock bottom end and block.
You will always hear about the friend of a friend, or this guy I know has this and that. If you push the limits of the stock stuff and dont care if it breaks, then fine. If you expect it to last forever, then that is where you become foolish. It would suck to slip in your own oil at 135 mph.
his combo " " pump gas...... When I was on the dyno, I had 92 octane in there. I am not sure if it helps or not, but around here, we have a company whos 92 octane "may contian upto 10% ethanol". I always run their stuff for the sake of consistancy. Once I pick a gas, I run ONLY it, casue I have found different brands can require different tunes. This same compnay has several pumps in the city that have 94 octane, and that is what I put in on the way to the track. Combo: the "stock" shortblock, ported Edelbrock performer heads, F303 cam, TFS track heat intake, the crap PP 75 mm tbody, 3" exhaust. TH400 trans (left over from the 460 days, and it was reliable), 9" converter, 3.27 gears. Maybe more info on www.tomak.net
whats wrong with professional products throttlebodies? i bought one that im going to be bolting on in a week..
i love to see stock 302 blocks go 10's who cares how long it lasts. it is the fact you did it that counts.
there was one guy, who was cutting 1.3x 60' times on a stock T5. now thats hard to believe, he claimed he had a lot of passes too. talk about being lucky.
Also this is with a turbo. With a turbo you can run more power safely on the stock block. Superchargers waste that power you would normally put to the ground, and they stress out the crank.
11's should be a breeze on a stock block. My dads car went 11's for a few years without any problems. Run 10.70 with a t-5 and stock block. New motor this year but its gonna be a stock block too
