Those of you who buy car parts on ebay have surely seen by now that ebay has dropped regional searches from their menu. It is no longer possible to search for items locally.

Ebay has decided to use a feature that allows you to search by zip codes instead. The problem is the vast majority of people who use ebay do not have their zip code in their profile and thus items do not show up when looking for things by zip code.

There is an on line petition to get them to change it back to the way it use to be. If your interested in signing it, here is a link to it.

I work for a company that sells graphics on Ebay, and I think E-Bay is starting to be a huge pain in the butt. to list the things he does, it costs about $1500 every month I believe. The cost to list stuff is going higher and higher.

I agree, they take advantage, because they can.

Not that they appear to care, given the response in the thread, but I added my .02. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I still do like shopping on ebay. It's the selling that's getting to be more trouble than it's worth.

It will just allow another ebay like site to move into a slot and cause some competition. Right now they are almost a monopoly of sorts, but the technology they use isn't complex, so maybe we will see a competitor.
