so i haven't been on here in a few years...last mustang was gone many years ago- my new home has been teh legendary NASIOC... i see a few familiar names from my time...but not many where's the old timers at??
Like most other message boards, Stangnet has a high turnover rate. I find even being around a long time doesn't guarantee anything: posters like hillie16 and fiveofanatic have posted for about five years then suddenly stop posting for almost no reason. There are people here that I have forgotten about over the years, and I'm certain that even in a year or two, the board is going to have a whole new crowd or clique occupying it.
Well, we're here in one way or another. I'm on here as LastCallRacing half the time and promised myself that I'd only stick to the tech forums, as opposed to hamming it up in the talk forums. So far, so good As for the others, they're still around, just seems that the collective we are ridiculously busy and never seem to be in the same place at the same time
Here. Lurking for the most part....funny when I joined ten years ago, all I had to do was work,wash the GT,go hang out with friends/surf StangNet. Now, i'm married 7+ yrs.....most of the rest went out the window.
I am still here.Some years I didn't log on much but I stll came back to see what's going on.And there was always the occasional tech question.I'm suprised to see members such as RedLX,77Sleeper..and even Slayr281 still coming around.It's nice to see familiar faces...errr names .As for me,I will always come back.I love stangs too much for one.And Stangnet,it's the best Mustang site out there.Once I started coming here over 8 years ago,I didn't want to go anywhere else. You'd think after 8 years that I'd be tired of Mustangs.No.The only thing I'm tired of is driving my same ol V6 stang....for allmost 9 years.Well it looks like I'll be driving it longer because of the lay off.No worries.I know it'll get me around.The engine still runs like new,doesn't smoke or anything (Knock on wood ...hint hint). And to all you members that are still here after all this time,big thumbs up to you for not being another turnover Know any members from way back when that havn't shown up in a long while? Send them an email and a pm.Maybe the system will notify them and they'll pop up? shrug.It would be nice if we could get some longtime no shows to come back for a visit here. I was suprsed to see Afterburnr mention Hillie16 (he's the first to remember him besides myself).I remember him from many years ago.He was a county cop in Ten or Ky. and everyone was always asking if something on their stang was legal.Hehe.Damn,a LOT of people are gone.Sucks.
I'm not planning on going anywhere...I don't post here a WHOLE lot sometimes, and I haven't had a Mustang for over 5 years, but I am still a moderator in the 2.3L forum so i gotta be around for that Plus I still help people out with a lot of questions. Somebody I just happened to think of...whatever happened to Madman? I thought he was an admin, then he just up and disappeared
I was never a big poster but a lurker none the less for years. Last Mustang was 3 years ago already. Longest forum site Im still actively watching.....
are you the one that left because you sold your stang for a STi and were posting nonstop pictures of it and got obsessed?:thinking: -not that i dont like WRX's or am i thinking of someone else it was someone like...a year or two ago, cant remember who though... if it was you, i am glad you have found your way back even if you do still drive a non ford
