What are all of you guys running in your power steering pumps? I just put a new rack and pinion, and power steering pump with all new lines and I wanna know what kind of fluid I should run

second vote for type f, dont let the parts counter guys try to convince you otherwise, all the seals and clearances on the o.e. stuff is designed around it, and "regular" steering fluid can and will leak.

There is a BIG difference in what is sold as PS fluid. Some of it is no better than bulk tractor hydraulic fluid, and some is thin as sewing machine oil. Even the stuff that meets OEM specs varies with the company it is made for. It is tempting to get clear fluid in case it leaks. But unless you need the seal swelling stuff until you fix it right, do not do it. My manual says type F, but use what your year says. I am tempted to see if Royal Purple or someone makes synthetic type F next time as it does not get changed regularly like the motor oil.
