Freeze Plugs

I went to change the coolant, drained out all I could through the radiator, but only getting about 2.5 gallons out. Where are the freeze plugs on the engine block that I can use to drain the rest?

I understand, but where are the freeze plugs located that would allow you to drain out almost all the coolant instead of trying to flush it through?

I can't remember if i removed my freeze plugs when i flushed my coolant.

i know i didnt run water through the system as proposed in the link. if i had to guess they shouldnt be too hard to pinpoint if thats how i did it.

The block coolant drain plugs are just about inaccessible behind the engine mounts & k-member. I was going to drain my block too but after I finally found them (with a flashlight and a mirror!), I just flushed it out with the garden hose instead.
