I know Mustangs arent the greatest on gas and i shouldnt even be asking a question like this since im aware that the Cobra gets not so good gas mileage but how many miles are you guys getting to a full tank of gas in your 03-04 Cobras on average? Thanks.
Let's see... My car has a K&N FIPK and full exhaust (JBA Shortys, Magnaflow catted X-pipe, Magnaflow catback). A 50/50 mix of highway/city driving without dogging the **** out of the car results in approximately 17-18MPG. I can squeeze 24-25MPG on the highway only trips as long as I don't exceed 70MPH and I shift at 1850 RPM's. U.M.
i get bout 350kms to the full tank but thats when i drive really easy shift early n drive in 6th at low rpms if i punch it all over i dont even get 150
I get 14-15 with occasional playing. On the highway since I drive mostly turnpike (75-85 mph) I get 19-20. I think my mods are in my sig...
i got about 330 miles with a few gallons left on a trip to portland. nothing but 70-80 mph cruising with a consistant foot on the freeway. i actually had probably 20 miles city or so in there too. in the city, i get about 100-120 miles per HALF tank. i always fill up at 1/4 tank or more.
Im guessing like 12-13. Pretty sad when you can put 15 pounds of boost on it and watch the gas gauge go down instantly
I have gotten just over 450km on a tank on a couple of highway trips. I try not to think about what my gas mileage is around town.
When you're driving a high performance car, the last thing you should be worried about is the mileage. If it's a concern, you should buy a beater commuter. My favorite thing to do when people comment on the fact the my wife and I have a 93 5.0, a 96 Cobra, a 96 Bronco and an 04 Crown Victoria and what "horrible" mileage we must get is to respond "There's more to life than gas mileage".
