Its nuts here in Halifax NS Canada with the gas prices and all. Makes me thankful to be driving a 2.3L instead of a 5.0L. It still cost tons to drive now but I couldn't amagine driving a 5.0L . I would have to give up drinking to drive anywhere :p .....

I just got gas in my 93' 2.3L LX the other day and spent 22.00 on fuel. The first few years I owned the car ( only owned it 4 yrs) I could fill up for 13.00 bux. Then it creaped up to 15.00-16.00 bux a tank and now its just a hair under what I would fill my tahoe up last year with :bs:

If you drive like a normal person a 5.0L will get pretty decent gas mileage...but what fun would that be ;)

I wish it was that cheap here in Canada it would cost me about 50 bux CAD to fill my tank now thats about 35 USD. Posted price is $.91/liter

Dude its not 2.3 litres/gallon its 4 so 91 cents/litre works out to 3.64 CAD per gallon or about 2.65 USD

Dude notice how I said its like 2.3Liters = a gallon  Heck it was a guess but I wouldn't guess more than 3L = a gallon. Anyone got a cheat sheet for me or a liter bottle I can borrow to messure with ;) I know its like ( again I use the word LIKE) mulipplying by .26418 but I get lost after that.

My car is getting excellent mileage. I fill my tank up once every three weeks, or about once every 350 miles. It costs about $22 or so. I'm glad to have gotten a 2.3 at this point.

Honestly, I don't know. I don't ever drive on the highway, I floor it everywhere, and it doesn't exactly run that great. I must be doing good with the platinum spark plugs.

Hmm...I honestly don't know why my car is kicking so much butt in terms of gas mileage. 24mpg...mmm sounds good. Hopefully my turbo version will do just as good.

I just cut back on my useless cruising around. I no longer take the scenic route anywhere. I just go from point A to point B :nonono:

My SVO gets really good gas mileage when I'm not standing on the pedal ;) I really need to work on my LX and see if I can get my mileage up a bit. What I really would love is better gas mileage on my tahoe

yeah I wish I was still driving my 2.3. Regular just got up to $2 a gallon here. Which makes premium $2.25, my car (of unmentionible marquee) gets maybe about 13 MPG in normal cuty driving. I just can't help but open those secondaries, even if it is expensive.

I like driving my little 98 escort zx2 now. Not fast but 35 mpg is great during these times. Now when I bust out the stang on weekends the $ 2.23 for premuim killed me this week. $ 28 to fill the tank. Ouch
