I'm putting a blower on and i'm adding a boost gauge and a EGT gauge. I am debating as which to get. I already have a full pillar as well.
i like the gauge cage because:
1. no mods to dash (just cut fins, and can get new at junk yard)
2. Looks cooler of the two
3. Want to paint consol and such, could paint this as well.
4.wires can be run easily.

I like the tach pod becuase
1. I'm adding a tach

Are there any problems with the gauge cage? I mean it sees heat and cold, and seems like it could be damaged.
So what do you guys run, and could you maybe post pics?

I made myself a different alternative to the gauge cage and the tach pod. I had some spare pieces left over from my prototypes of my a-pillar pods that are going to go on sale in about 6 weeks. It's different, and that's why I like it.

I'm also working on a completely new version of the gauge cage. Cosmettically, it will be far superior to the flat piece of metal. It can be dyed to match the rest of the interior, and should blend with the rest of the dash better. I'll get some pics up as soon as it is possible. Still a work in progress...

Here's what I did in my stang:
