gear swap questions

does anyone know where there is a good write up on how exactly to do a gear swap in the 8.8 and also the gears i have came with the car when i bought it in a box and i have no idea what brand they are all i know is they are brand new 4.10's do different manufactures have a different pinion depth measuremnt? for some reason i think he said they where moser.... any one know how to tell by the part number?
