going to have to let the 03 cobra go

i will be selling my 03 cobra it has been a great car and i have had a lot of fun i will be putting it up for sale next week i dont know how much to ask for it any ideas

going to have a baby and get married and i will be getting a family car plus my wife says to get rid of it

With only 1 child it should be no problem Its once you have 2 that a car like that is an issue. No way of hanging on to it and getting a used minivan for the family eh?

Women. I'm glad my little lady lets me keep my car. Says to me No Way its going anywhere unless We can't make a mortage payment. I love that girl. Oh BTW I have 2 kids. Nothing like having the backing of a good women when you like cars. I'm not saying yours is not a good woman at all. She is probably thinking that without the car you will settle down or something like that. That being said getting something like a Muerc Murader would be cool. The 4v cobra motor in it. Just get a SC'er on it and it would one KICK A$$ family car. I have always wanted one myself. Just hard to get a load of firewood with one so I doubt it will be in my future.

Im in the same position. My wife an I have two kids an she has been pretty cool with me an the cars. I use to have alot of bikes but one of the agreements before we got engaged was to have me stop riding bikes. I didnt have an issue with that cause bike riding in public traffic has more to do with luck than anything else as far as Im concerned. Riding in Rhode Island is like walking point in Iraq you can have that crap.

We came to the agreement that when we were financially set or comfortable that I could have a toy. I choose Cobras an she likes them too so it was cool for us and we never regreted it.

My friend has a Merc Maruader an its a nice car. I love the lines on it an its plenty big enough for 2 or 3 kids.

Good luck on your marriage. Like they say it is what you make it. Dont give up all your hobbies tho its important that she respect your things an you respect hers. I can see if your struggling an you want to get rid of any extra stuff selling the car then is the right thing to do. On the other hand marriage has alot of ups an downs an its nice that both he an she have something that brings them joy an releases stress.

It sounds like the issue is not the car, but the trust. If you get rid of the car, the underlying issues will still be there and you will regret getting rid of the car.

yep, get rid of the car and whats next? you look too nice after you get a hair cut, dont shower cause you smell nice and clean and may attract girls. car isnt the issue here. seems to be some trust issues. she should be proud that you chose her over other girls. tell her she should be riding copilot and making the other girls jealous. if you get rid of everything you enjoy in life, then what? jmo
