Hey, I am looking for a someone that owns or has done a lot of work on 99-04 stangs. I am looking to get some work done on my car and would be willing to get paid in food. Not chips and beer but i'm talking a box-o-steaks or something around those lines (my family is in the food distribution business so we can get anything that you can order in a resteraunt). I am mainly looking to get cams installed and a 3.73 rear gear (not at the same time either). Once they are in i am done with my car. I can afford the parts but the labor is what is going to cost me an arm and a leg. Thats why i am looking for a mechanic who is looking to stock their freezer for the winter. I live in Palatine and would prefer to have my car worked on at my house but if that is not possible i am willing to drive a half hour or so to your garage. This is not a for sure thing as i have not yet bought the parts so if your interested PM me or just reply to this so i can keep you in mind. Thanks for looking, Nick P.S. outshine1969, Thanks for the link. I emailed them and i am looking at about $1500 for the install of cams and a tune. I don't know if that is reasonable or not but i am going to call a couple other shops and compare. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE LINK!!!!
Try Casey's in Streamwood, Illinois. You'll be talking to Mike or Ole, both great guys. I send everybody there. I've spent something like $15,000 with them over the years, won't send my car to anybody else. (630) 213-8600. I had them do the PI head swap for me and after I got it back, I looked under the hood. There wasn't a clip broken, a wire out of place, or a finger print on it. It looked like it came that way from the factory. I'm just amazed at how good those guys are. Good Luck whatever you do.
